Getting started at XCL is easier then you think!

The first thing you need to do when you log into your member page for the first time is click on your Current Workout Plan on your Members Page. Once the PDF file loads you can then print out your workouts for the week. You will see that the weekly workout is broken down into 3 days that can be used anytime during your week. For example, Monday – Wednesday – Friday is a great schedule to keep, giving your muscles time to recover in between workouts. Every exercise you see on your workout plan will have a corresponding video that explains how that exercise is done, so don’t feel overwhelmed.

Your workout sheet will be divided into different sections depending on how the workout is supposed to be done. Here is a break down of how each section works:

Core Circuit Training: You will want to run through these exercises a total of 3 times. Do each set of reps then move to the next exercise, when you complete your reps for each of the exercises in the group then start back over until you have done each set of reps 3 times.

Focus Training: For focus training, you want to do each exercise 3 times before moving to the next one. Complete a set of reps, take a quick break to catch your breath, then do the exercise again. Do this 3 times for each exercise in this group.

Muscular Endurance Circuit: The muscular endurance circuit is completed exactly like the Core Circuit Training. Run through the exercises, in the order they are listed in, 3 times.

Next you want to check out your Video Library on your Members Page. The videos listed there will be all the exercises you need for that weeks workout plan. Take some time to familiarize yourself with the exercises and watch the videos carefully. If at anytime you feel uncomfortable doing the exercise then stop until you can get a feel for it by learning the exercise at a slower speed. Always try to do this before you start your workout so you are sure that you know all your exercises and can keep a steady pace during your workout.

While viewing a video you can also click on the “Download .MP4” icon to download the video to your hard drive. From there you can add the video to your portable device like a iPod or iPhone. Directions on how to do so are provided by clicking on the blue icon also located below the video.

You can also click on the Video Center tab to see a list of every exercise video available to your program. This is a great if you want to take the time to learn a exercise that might not be on your workouts for that week. Or maybe you want to revisit a previous week’s workout that you have printed out, here is where you can download the videos you need for that week for your iPod or to watch them online.


Another great section of the website for our Silver and Gold members is The Wellness Center. Here you will find Videos, detailed articles, product reviews, and expert advice from Dr. John Fitzgerald, who has worked to help athletes increase physical performance, endurance, and longevity for the past 15 years. This section of the website is designed to keep you informed on how to maintain a healthy diet through informed, non-bias reports. The world of professional sports is flooded with supplements, foods, drinks, etc that all claim to increase your performance as an athlete. Dr. John will help you decide which products are best for you and keep you up to date on the world of Sports Science. You will also have access to Dr. John’s advanced blood chemistry service, where your blood panel will show you exactly what your body needs, and sometimes more importantly, what it does not need. This service will be provided at a substantial discount to our Wellness Center members.
